ENGINEERING

We provide technical support and follow-up services for any proposal presented to us, studying its viability. After understanding our customers’ wishes and how our capabilities can help, we work together to develop moulding designs that meet their requirements for functionality and castability.

Our library includes different 2D and 3D software both internally and externally.

Our staff has been confronted with different problems and this has allowed us to acquire a know-how, which allows us to guarantee the requirements of our customers. In this first phase of the production process, we try to take great care of the quality of the design, as well as verifying the raw materials used.

MOULD MANUFACTURING

We have a technical office equipped with 2D and 3D design programmes for developing projects for parts, moulds, dies and special machines. The programmes are connected to CNC machines.

Our workshop is equipped with CNC milling machines, lathes and die sinking EDM, which allows us to build moulds, dies, tooling and tools for the industrialisation of the product, according to the customer’s specifications.

We also have strategic suppliers located within a radius of less than 50 km from our plant for the construction of injection moulds.

This allows us to work together to determine the location of the core, the layout of the overflow and the design of the filling channels.

In this way, we want to provide the customer with all the stages involved in the casting of aluminium parts, an added value that we provide through a flexible and comprehensive service that will reduce costs and delivery times.

GRAVITY DIE CASTING

We specialise in gravity or permanent mould gravity casting. The casting of molten metal into a mould and its solidification under its own weight, hence the name “gravity casting”, is one of the most common casting techniques. It makes it possible to produce short or long series of parts with optimum quality and short set-up times.

We have the know-how to manufacture parts with sand cores, which, once inserted into the mould, allow us to obtain hollow parts or complex internal geometries.

We specialise in manufacturing with alloys with high mechanical requirements, such as EN AC-42000 and EN AC-42200 alloys.

Main benefits:

  • Allows us to produce short series
  • Optimum quality
  • Parts with high mechanical requirements
  • Parts with complex internal geometries
  • Long mould life, with production runs of more than 50,000 units
  • Fast mould making
  • Parts that require subsequent heat treatment

Our human team and production means allow us to always manufacture the parts in their optimum machine, depending on the weight, dimensions and number of cavities, in the most competitive way.

We have the following production means for gravity die casting:

  • Conventional crucible gas furnaces (300 to 600 kg).
  • Horizontal automatic hydraulic machines
  • Semi-automatic 4-cylinder hydraulic machines
  • Manual 4-cylinder machines

INJECTION MOULDING

Cold chamber die casting is ideal for metals such as aluminium, which have a high melting point. During this process, the metal is melted in a furnace at extremely high temperatures and then dosed into a cold chamber to be injected into the mould.

Die casting or injection moulding are based on the possibility of producing large batches of products in short times and at a low cost.

Main benefits:

  • Variable wall thickness
  • Tighter tolerances
  • Fast production cycle times
  • Fewer production steps on finished part
  • Reduction of waste material

We have the following production means for injection moulding:

  • High pressure die casting machines (150-500 Tn).
  • Automatic feeding system
  • Die-casting presses (10-20 Tn)
  • Auxiliary equipment: mould tempering machines, etc.

SECOND OPERATIONS

We have specific areas for the sawing of casting channels and cores. The aim is to remove all foreign elements from the part until a suitable rough finish is obtained in accordance with our customers’ requirements.

We have the following production means for the manual cutting and sanding section:

  • Endless saws
  • Double polishing machines
  • Planing machines
  • Eccentric presses

MECHANICAL WORKSHOP

We have an exclusive section for the maintenance of moulds and dies.

To carry out simple machining operations, we have the following production resources: CNC machining centres, Electro-erosion machine, conventional lathes and milling machines, planing machines, welding, etc.
